Hello everyone! Sorry for being absent for so long . Things are crazy here right now...I'm going in for a knee replacement surgery tomorrow so I have had tons to do before being able to leave my preschool!
I thought I would add one more fun photo before I'm "on hold" for awhile.
Here is lovely Charlotte, the lady of my 1880 English Manor House. Like us, she is a dollhouse collector and finds her joy in hunting for the elusive dollhouse or an antique bit for each of her houses. She happily sits playing in her German wicker chair with a variety of antique dollhouses whilst her husband plays in the Study on the floor with toy soldiers fighting imaginary battles!
Charlotte is a beautiful doll with bendable wire arms and legs. Does anyone know who made her? She has a gorgeous face! I'll be back as soon as I can sit at my computer! (Click the photo to enlarge it!)

  2. Oh wow! Love the room - looks like it's tucked away under the roof! The houses are marvellous, so much variety and still all appropriate for this time period. And where did you get that tiny box of furniture? I've never seen anything like it - how amazing!
I hope your knee surgery goes well and you don't have too much pain - look forward to seeing you back :-)

  3. Dear Rebecca and Christine--thank you both for the well-wishes! I guess I'm addicted as I have to leave for the hospital in an hour and I'm checking last emails! I also like this little attic room and it is "tucked" under the eaves like you asked. The collection of mini dollhouses were one that I inherited so I feel very lucky to have such a nice group of real looking tiny tiny dollhouses! There are three sets of mini mini room furniture in boxes---probably new from a mini shop or show! Very small and amazing I agree! Thanks all so much...I am sure I'll be back "on" in a two weeks. Keep playing for me! Hugs all! Louise

  6. Thank you ladies.....I'm back! I'm not running laps yet but I am buzzing around the house. Sitting at the computer isn't too good for my leg however so I'll sneak in a few minutes here and there. Thanks for you kind thoughts. Enjoy the Jaymar Residence! Hugs, Louise
